He shows up in beautiful ways

Jesus can show up in beautiful ways, even when life feels complicated. 

Every day, Jesus invites us to rest. 

Even our labor is meant to flow from a place of rest. And yet—I don’t know about you, sister/brother—but I know it’s so easy for me to forget that and slip back into old habits of striving and trying to be good enough and strong enough and smart enough on my own. 

It never works. And in a way, I’m so grateful it doesn’t—because it forces me to run back to my good and tenderhearted Shepherd. He is always ready to give me (and you, too) the rest we need. 

PRAYER:  Dear Father, I pray against every influence of darkness that seeks to capture the hearts of children and young people, including peer pressure, negative media and worldly ideologies. I declare that they're walking in the light and rejecting every unfruitful work of evil as they walk in righteousness and fulfil their purpose in Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen
