Men, women, humans generally make promises to you and they will definitely fail you one way or the other. God on the other hand cannot fail in fulfilling His promises to you and to me.
He is not a man that he should lie neither the son of man that he should repent. Even God knows what men do, that's why that illustration was given in the Bible.
