PROTECTION!
I use my archeological eyes to scan through the death and resurrection of Christ.
Because you are redeemed, you have both victory and protection. Protection from accidents and haters.
God’s Word declares, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death” (Revelation 12:11).
Exodus 12 describes the Passover in Egypt when Israel marked their doorposts with the blood of the lamb, symbolic of the blood of Jesus. Verse 23 declares:
“For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.”
You have victory over the enemy and protection by the redemptive blood of Jesus. But that blood must be applied, just as Israel applied the blood to their doorposts.
When was the last time you applied the blood to your problems? When was the last time you applied the blood on your family? When was the last time you applied the blood on your home and your possessions? Why not do it right now?
Make this confession of faith which summarizes the benefits of your redemption:
Because I am redeemed, the Holy Ghost is upon me. I am reconciled to God and there is continual cleansing of my sin. I am sanctified, I am perfected, and God does not remember my sins! Because of the redemptive blood, I have victory over the enemy, and I am protected. I am covered. My problems are covered. My home is covered. My family is covered. I pray this in Your mighty name, my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
Tell the World
One translation of the “let the redeemed say so” passage in Scripture shares more facets of our redemption, as well as God’s command to share those blessings with others:
Oh, thank GOD—he’s so good! His love never runs out. All of you set free by GOD, tell the world! Tell how he freed you from oppression, Then rounded you up from all over the place, from the four winds, from the seven seas. (Psalm 107:1-3 MSG)
Declare every day that you are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Remind the enemy that you understand whose you are, who you are, and what it means to be purchased by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ!
Selah!
