The Joy of the Lord is your strength no matter what you're going through now.
Your happiness doesn't come from your family, spouse, friends or colleagues.
Not even from your work or your achievements, purpose, career or academics.
Your happiness doesn't come from this world. John.16.33 I've told you all this so that trusting me, you will be deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I've conquered the world."
Your happiness comes from God.
Your happiness also comes from you.
It comes from your heart.
Prov.4.23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. (KJV)
In as much as people try their best to make you happy. But it's not everytime. No human being can fulfill our idealized dreams. Nobody can give you that wholesome happiness you desire.
Though some events happen to us that make us happy. But it doesn't last. Life is full of phases. We have to embrace the sadness and the beauty of life.
People will hurt you in life. The person you value most can hurt you maybe with their words or actions, but you need to guard your heart at that point in time. It's just a temporary phase.
When God said in everything give thanks, He's teaching us emotional maturity. The ability to be happy in everything is a sign of maturity. But it doesn't happen all the time.
Because there are situations that shatter us beyond repair. But still in that season of life, please absorb the pain and let it go.
Sometimes it's better to forget what happens to you immediately and try to avoid dwelling on your pain...
Choose to live in stillness and let the outside be what it may. Happiness is a choice. Choose to be happy no matter what you're going through now.
Loving Father, you know the sadness someone out there may be going through now, I pray that you give him what he needs to overcome that sorrow. Fill every heavy heart with peace . May they find rest from the burdens that are weighing them down. All comfort comes from you, may they find relief from every pain. For every situation that took away their Joy, restore your peace in Jesus name Amen. Shalom
